“Why I will walk This Sunday” – Nathaniel Tan
“Why I will not walk this Sunday
and why the walk must not proceed” – Haris Ibrahim
Both of them draw very strong points based on personal principles and ideology.
An Observation of the Hindraf Rally
Haris Ibrahim was present during the rally as part of the Bar Council’s observer team and has recorded his observations here.
Hindraf: Food for thought
MageP’s Lab draws comparisons between rallies led by UMNO Youth aka the Son in Law and the recent HINDRAF rally, questioning the selective usage of tear gas and chemical laced water cannons.
Screenshots
Jeff Ooi’s Screenshots also covers the rally quite extensively in three parts, with collected pictures from as early as 4am of the police firing tear gas into the Batu Caves temple compounds. I think that’s about as disrespectful a stand towards any ethnic group as you can get. Imagine an Indian or Chinese policeman firing tear gas into a mosque compound.
Not amusing at all.
